As you may know, we’re currently in production on a follow-up to BURN. This new film delves deeper into the hearts and minds of firefighters, their families, and their fears. We go deep into the heart of what it's like to live and work on the streets of Detroit.
With no investor or distributor support, BURN became one of the most successful self-distributed films in history. It also was one of the largest films to be funded entirely by charitable donations. Following its unprecedented 170-city theatrical release, BURN was the #1 documentary and independent film on iTunes. BURN received the Audience Award at the Tribeca Film Festival, and was nominated for a Gotham Award. It has a perfect 100% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Most importantly, we were able to make good on our commitment to give back, and donated more than $310,000 in much-needed gear to Detroit firefighters.
WE ARE AT A PIVOTAL STAGE WITH THE PROJECT.
We've supported the production as long as we can. The film cannot be finished without outside financial help.
We’ve self-funded the film so far. We need to raise $75,000-$260,000 to finish and release it.
There’s a range of outcomes, depending on how much we raise. Our $50,000 minimum goal will make it possible to release the film digitally.
As we raise more, we’ll be able to do more for the film and its release: We'll be able to go back to Detroit for another shoot, afford better music, and roll the film out with stronger promotion and a theatrical release. The more we raise, the more attention we can bring to first responders everywhere, and the higher the potential for another giveback to Detroit firefighters.
We are prepping a Kickstarter campaign as we speak. We need to go into that campaign prepared for success.
We are reaching out to ask you to consider supporting the film now.
THERE ARE A COUPLE OF WAYS TO SUPPORT THE FILM RIGHT NOW:
1. WRITE A CHECK
Donate cash and become a name sponsor of the film. Shoot us an email and we'll send our sponsorship deck. Given BURN's track record and audience, the public relations upside for branding is very strong.
2. DONATE KICKSTARTER REWARDS
Donate rewards for our upcoming fundraising campaign. If you own, make or manufacture anything that relates to firefighting, Detroit, sports, food, film, adventure, history, patriotism, community, service, or any combination thereof, let's talk. Our fans love experiences — tickets, tours, events, screenings, parties, and passes are fantastic, as well.
Either way, you and your company will become part of our marketing and promotion for the duration of production and through the release. Contributions to the film at this stage are tax‐deductible to the extent permitted by law.
Thank you in advance for your generous support.
